The Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama has covered with polka dots the Louis Vuitton shops and windows all around the world and not only that, because she has collaborated with Marc Jacobs in a whole range of clothes and accessories. The collection is full of the signature symbol of Kusama that she has been using in her videos, performances and art works since the 60s.
Just few months ago I visited the Tate Modern exhibition of the Japanese artist in London (supported by Louis Vuitton) and I liked it a lot, it was a very interesting one because she gets you to become absorbed by her unreal and repetitive universe plenty of colour and sensations. One of the rooms was completely dark except for a lot of tiny light bulbs that changed its colour all the time and reflected it in all the walls that were covered with mirrors (I left a picture of it in the slideshow, but it was much better in person)
If you like to see Kusama (some clones of herself) just check the slideshow because she left her signature in the Bond Street Louis Vuitton´s windows in London.

This assocciation between Marc Jacobs and Yayoi Kusama is only for the bravest ones: the vibrant colours (red and yellow) and the polka dots make the clothes and accessories very stand out. Personally I love it! I wouldn´t wear a LV x Kusama total look, but I would match them with neutral colours. Have a look to the collaboration pieces in this video (very Kusama, as her artworks, happy, funny and crazy)
Did you know Yayoi Kusama? What do you think of the Louis Vuitton x Kusama collection?
