Burberry Prorsum ss13 show: my pictures

Yesterday I enjoyed another great Burberry Prorsum show at the Kensington Gardens. This season the tent was covered when we came in (was dark inside), but then when the show started it was opened and left all the light inside…beautiful to take good pictures and to appreciate all the details.

Maybe I am repetitive, but this brand is doing better and better. Christopher Bailey is able to reinvent a trench time and time again without forgetting Burberry heritage. The next spring-summer season will be about capes and corsets, bright colors (the color blocking continues, so keep all the last season clothes in your wardrobe) and metallic garments. Everything very feminine and elegant.

In this collection Bailey used leather, satin, lace, metallic leather and silk, embroidery, plastic and feathers. One of the most amazing pieces I´ve ever seen is this coat handmade with hundreds of very small peacock feathers…I saw it really close and touched it at the Headquarters and it was almost a Haute couture piece.

The carousel finale was amazing with all the models wearing a trench in metallic colours like a rainbow.

I like the accessories too, specially the sunglasses and the shoes! They are very smart and high, but look comfy thanks to the wedge. The materials are great: leather and snake skin in bright colors (red, klein blue, green, white, gold or silver). In the showroom they look amazing (I will show you the photos soon)

Some pieces of the collection (all the coats, capes and bags) are available to order online in Burberry.com for the next 4 days!

You can check all my pictures of the show in the slideshow below and the full video (Listen to the music, it is very good!)

What do you think about the Burberry Prorsum proposal for the next spring summer? Are you a fan of metallic colors and corsets?
