“Fashion is not simply a matter of clothes. Fashion is in the air, born upon the wind. One intuits it. It is in the sky and on the road.”
The essence of Coco Chanel is travelling around the world with “The little black jacket” exhibition. This time Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld have worked together to reinvent a jacket a lot of times: with different models, styling and attitudes.
Most of the pictures are in black and white and the models -men and women- are actors, it girls, princess, musicians, dancers, artists, etc… They look beautiful and after visiting it at the Saatchi Gallery (open until the 4th of November) you would like to have a little Chanel black jacket to customize or to style it completely different every day.
Some of the portraits will keep you there standing and looking at them for some minutes, at least that happened to me. It is a quite inspiring exhibition if you love fashion.
My favorite ones are Charlote Casiraghi (an it girl, always elegant and so beautiful, like her mum and grandmother), Sofia Coppola (simple and so chic!), Song Hye Kyo (wearing a pair of roller skates without losing the charm) or Vanessa Paradis and Ines de la Fressange (the French allure…so Chanel both of them!!) among others…
How many ways of wearing a Chanel little black jacket can you imagine?
Please, have a look and choose your favorite from the gallery! And if you have the chance don’t miss the exhibition, it is free!
