How to wear: a midi yellow skirt

Sometimes we find pieces that could look a bit difficult to match at first sight. That happened to me with this beautiful H&M neon yellow midi skirt. I fell in love with it straight away and had to buy it, but then I started thinking on how I was going to wear it.

hmprod-2This striking yellow could not be the easiest one unless is proper Summer and you are super tanned, although I’m a big fun of bright colours for the whole year. The best trick for cold weather is mixing them with plain darker garments or all shades of grey, that will help the outfit to be a bit more subtle.

Sweatshirts love

If you follow me on Instagram you already know that I love to mix sportwear in my outfits: sneakers, sweatshirts, baggy pants… So for the first look I have chosen  a variety of sweatshirts in different prints and colours and I added a pair of sandals in a darker shade. This idea is perfect for the day time, a Sunday look or a shopping trip.
Look ladylike

The second look is more ladylike thanks to a beautiful pair of black high heels, a bodysuit (that are everywhere at the moment) and the right accessories. The amazing lime colour of the skirt matches with the pastel blue of the bag, the golden jewelry and the pink 60’s shades. On top of that, nothing better than a black peplum jacket and the cat ears beret for the bravest ones.

Bomber jacket + white trainers

The last option is my favourite: colourful, comfy and very quirky (simply me!) To get this idea you need white and simple trainers Stan Smith style, a waist shirt or tshirt (tuck it in, so you play with the volume) and the super trend of the season: the bomber jacket. To add some fun to it, play with printed accesorios and jewelry.

Which one is your favourite outfit: sweatshirt, ladylike or bomber jacket?

Any other idea for the cold days of Spring?

Have a lovely day

Effortless cool I : Comptoir des cottoniers

In some places the temperature is way above the 30ºC, but in London the rules are different: we have an on and off Summer so you always have to be ready to layer your clothes, for example with a leather or denim jacket, scarves, etc…

I have chosen some of my favorite brands: Hoss Intropia, & Other Stories, Zara and Comptoir des cottoniers  and created four looks with garments that you can use  Spring through Autumn just changing the accessories and shoes.

Today is the turn of Comptoir des cottoniers, with its romantic prints and daytime clothes. For this effortless cool outfit the idea is to match a blue floral jumpsuit with white trainers for the day and tan sandals for the evening. The denim jacket is versatile enough to wear it at anytime.

Some of the garments are on the sale, so don’t miss them and get ready for the new season too!

Have you bought any clothes thinking already of Autumn? Do you wear one-piece suits?

Nike x Liberty London sneakers

Nike x Liberty London collection

Nike sneakers and Liberty London: when two of my favorite things are together nothing can’t finish well for my bank account. If you follow my Twitter and Instagram you know how much I love shoes and sneakers, these last ones even before they were “on trend”. Trainers are perfect for walking around, discover cities, dance until you can’t move anymore or just to lay down in the park with a glass of wine. And if they look as beautiful as the Nike for Liberty collection AW 14  it is difficult to resist the temptation.

One of my favorite models is the Air Max 1, the classic but comfortable style, that you can wear with jeans, leggings and with dresses if you feel a bit braver. But I have to admit that when I saw the Air Max 1 Mid in that blue greyish color I felt very tempted to go for this more wintery shoe. So now I don’t know which one to go for. I created some looks with both of them to have more ideas, but I would like to know your thoughts.

Which one do you prefer: orange or grey? How would you wear them?

How to make a black garment stand out

Black + good accessories

Today I would like to share with you some of my last clothing buys and ideas to make them more special with good accessories.

Black is always a safe color for any season, it is also flattering and smart. You will never go wrong with this dark shade if you now how to mix and match it.

In this occasion I got a really easy dress from H&M (that fits great if you are a curvy girl like me, emphasizing the waist, something that I love) and a gorgeous jumpsuit from Hoss Intropia (that makes your legs endless and has a very sexy back without showing anything, so you can wear it to a lot of dressy parties)

In term of accessories to make the most of these great 2 pieces, I have chosen bold ones: leopard heels, chunky necklaces or Burberry lookalike scarves that change completely the look but keep it chic and elegant. If you prefer to go for a headband like this beauty I wouldn’t add much more than a classy bag in a plain or bold colour and probably some sexy straps suede sandals that can be worn with tights in winter and look great. I have those heels and they are quite comfortable and match almost all my evening outfits, could be worn with dresses, but also with trousers, etc…so it is a safe pair to have in your essential wardrobe.

What would you wear with my new black jumpsuit and dress?

Do you have any basic in your closet that you update every time with different accessories?

I would love to hear your stories, please, share them here with us or tag me in Twitter and Instagram :)

How I wear my Isabel Marant for H&M boots

Yes, I was one of the lucky ones that got the Isabel Marant for H&M fringed boots a couple of weeks ago. They arrived at home so I didn’t have to queue to buy them, only a bit of refreshing the browser for an hour or two!

marant boots

I still haven’t worn them, but they look very nice, good quality leather, very comfortable heel and the best is how you feel when you have them on… as cool and effortless as the French designer. These are the kind of boots I have been looking for for ages, that go with girly dresses and also with leather trousers or a miniskirt for the evening.

Moreover, I bought the children’s cap that I have been matching with my outfits since I received my parcel. It is perfect for the chilly London weather and doesn’t flatten my hair too much, so I really love it.

One of my friends in Spain bought me the Isabel Marant earrings because I couldn’t go to the preview of the collection in the Madrid store… She is so sweet!! Thanks Maria! The earrings are gorgeous and you know how much I love these hippy chic accessories.

Please check out my ideas to style the boots, a bit of a quirky mix, but lots of fun ;) Hope you like them.
